Meet Dr. Lina Elnakka, DDS, MSD
Dr. Elnakka is a board certified periodontist who began her career in dentistry in Cairo, Egypt before relocating to Virginia and completing the Doctor of Dental Surgery Program at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. She went on to pursue specialty training in the field of implants and periodontics earning both her specialty certificate and Master of Science in Dentistry from VCU. She held leadership roles throughout her training as chief resident and as president of the VCU Periodontal Club. Her scholarly accomplishments include receiving the Billy M. Pennel Award in Clinical Research (2021) and the American Academy of Osseointegration Student Award (2020).
Dr. Elnakka’s surgical interests include implant surgery, soft-tissue grafting, hard-tissue regeneration, periodontal therapy and laser-assisted periodontal procedures. Guided by the principle “Precision with compassion”, She’s committed to delivering meticulous, evidence‑based treatment while ensuring every patient feels understood, informed, and genuinely cared for.
Outside work, Dr. Elnakka is an avid painter in acrylic and graphite and enjoys long walks in nature, museums, and attending cultural events.
